we went back home after the ranch horse competition, and went to the rodeo that night again.
Then, me and my brother left Sunday for the promised land!
my grandma had called us and wanted us to go help them move stuff out of this old house that was on this ranch they had just sold. We get down there Sunday evening. Work around the house and such Monday, until our grandparents get there. Then go to town and run some errands, and then Tuesday we drive a hour and a half to this ranch. Since we took four vehicles down there I got to drive my grandmas stinkin' awesome little red toyota pickup! I love that pickup... if I had the money I'd sure enough buy one. While driving it I discover the best radio station EVER. The outlaw, plays just straight Texas Country, and Red Dirt music all the time... why can't we have cool radio stations like that in New Mexico!? oh I know... cause Texas is just a better state ;] So anyway, we drive...drive...drive, the big wench truck runs out of gas.... on the side of the road... but thankfully they had brought some gas, and it was enough to get us into town. It was a pretty cool little town I thought
We finally arrive at the house
this house was like a place that a killer would take his victims are something...seriously. Sorry. Excuse my horribly warped mind. Course after we saw inside, my brother said he didn't even think a killer would go in there... not even a mouse would want to live in there I don't think. We saw two dead ones. We walked in... this house my jaw dropped. There was SO much junk in there... we walked around the rooms, five rooms, full of absolute, pure d junk. I cannot even describe it... I should have taken a picture. We work for a pretty good while... go eat at this place...
We spent the next few days driving down there, loading up all this junk onto a trailer, and hauling it to this other house on this other ranch they own that was several miles down the road. It would get so hot too... it was just honestly kind of miserable. We usually didn't get home until 10, then we'd have to get up and go again... it was some craaazy stuff. We also had to move a bunch of old farm equipment.
Me and my brother had to move some horses too. Two mares with their fillies, and a stud horse. We got the one mare loaded up, with her colt. That was pretty easy, she was a real nice little mare, real calm. Just a good mare, I liked her colt too.
We go to load the other mare and colt, and that just didn't turn out well. The stupid mare was a stinkin' idiot, and so was her colt. And then the stud was acting liking a idiot... typical stud. Thing is I've been around this horse before, ridden this horse around mares, and he's never acted stupid. But that day he did, we had to pop him a couple of times with the lead rope, and that got him in line. We finally get the mare loaded up, and go to load her colt and the sorry, pig eyed, roman nosed thing jumps over the fence! This wasn't some small little fence either, it was a dang tall fence! So since it jumped out, and was out in the pasture we just let its mama out and decided to mess with them the next day. We take the one mare and colt to our place we have down there which is about a two hour or so drive. Cause see thats where my grandma was going to leave her horses until they can move them to this other place they bought... or are buying. Well, we get them there have to fix a low power line. After we get it fixed the stupid electricity won't come on, so the water pump won't come on, so the horses won't have any water.... URRRRGHHH. So, we have to haul them our uncles place, and leave them there for a couple of nights. Then go get them on Friday, haul them to our grandparents other ranch (where we had to haul all the junk) then go get the other mare and colt, and stud (making any sense?) that wasn't too hard, thankfully. Just loaded up right up.
We haul them....Taylor has to go walk a creek bed to check the water gap... it was a stinkin' rain forest he says! kind does look one...
and swore he saw a monkey up in the trees too... I might have to agree with him, I heard some really loud scurrying up in them trees... and saw some movement.
We went back to grannys after all that, and going to my most favorite store EVER! TRACTOR SUPPLY! yup :) and left and come home yesterday :]
Yea it was definitely a crazy week. There was more that went on... but I just don't think you'd want to read about it all.
so now that I've written I stinkin book, and gotton cinnamon toast crunch stuff all over my computer. I will leave now. Adios.
