Some horses are easy to shoe, some not. Well if it's one of my daddy's horses it's not.
My dad hates to shoe horses, just hates it. Well he asked me this afternoon to come hold his horse, Rett while he was shoeing... or shodding... whatever. So I was like ok. I already know this horse is a pain to shoe, last time I was watching my my daddy had all kinds of heck. He has to give him a shot of ace, which makes them sleepy and calms them down. And then try to go about putting shoe's on. This is not a a easy task with this horse, at all. He'll let daddy trim and rasp his feet. But whenever he goes to put the shoe on he is always trying to take his foot away from my dad, and won't stand still and all this crazy stuff. Well this doesn't make daddy very happy, not happy at all. He puts a saddle on him, then gets a leadrope, and ties his foot up. Well then the little dummy gets to trying to fall over, and both me and my dad are trying to jump out of the way. Well the goes totally balistic and daddy tells me to let go of his leadrope. Well he takes off into the corral hopping and almost falling down. He does finally just fall down, so my dad goes about putting the shoe on while he's down.... So maybe not the best thing, but hey it worked. He tried to get up several times. But he finally layed still.
My Dad: "He's not dying is he?" (watch him breath) Me: "Sure hope not."
Well then it's time to do the other foot so we get him up. Then my dad ties his other foot, and he falls down again. After all this he finally gets the shoe's on. Then we try and get him up.
Daddy: "Get up."... (nothing happens. Pull on the leadrope) Daddy: "Come on get up you stupid horse." Me: "C'mon now get up. You ain't dead, you dummy."
(I get my horse name calling from my daddy.) Well he finally rises. Then my dad has to go about finishing him up. Rasping and such. He didn't give my dad to much trouble during that though. During this whole proccess I was scared to death that he was going to kick my dad, paw him, or fall on him. He almost did fall on him once... crazy animal. We were glad he only needed his front feet done. My poor daddy... He wants to send me to horse shoeing school now, I was like yeah so I can shoe all your crazy horses for you, he just said yep.
Me: (on my computer) "This stupid computer is froze up!" Daddy: Well why don't you get a hair dryer to melt it out.... I don't know why it's froze up anyway. I could understand if it was froze during the winter but not during the summer."
Oh my daddy...

Just a typical Monday
I got up this morning and did the usual. Go out and run at about 6:15 or so.. well it was a little earlier then that today. It was very nice out this morning, I love being up to watch the sunrise. And a lot of the time you go out there and the coyotes get to yipping. There was a lot of them this morning, and they weren't far from me either. I heard a couple of them fightening. It's crazy how much they can sound like a dog... Anyways I go back to the house were everyone is still sleeping. Lazy bums, haha. I take a shower then study the Word. Then I have to get ready for work.
Of course all my horses were perfect and didn't give me any trouble at all.... yeah right. I get there say good morning to Joe, he's my bosses... well I don't know what you'd call him... a... yard man... maybe he does everything for Terry, maybe more like a slave ;) Then I go grab up my most favorite horse of all... ha! more like my least favorite. CJ (Chubbs Junior) Me and this horse have major issues. It was sad cause they took my favorite one from over there away... But that is just how it goes. So anyways I get CJ and bring him into the barn and go about brushing him and cleaning his feet. Well I was trying to pick up his feet but he wouldn't let me. When I would finally get one up he'd try to take it out of my hand. Then he was trying to reach around and bite me! He got a slap on the nose for that. Well then I got to saddle him. I grab the pad and turn around he he takes off! He heads straight for the other end of the arena to the round pen. And I'm hoping like crazy that there isn't a gate open somewhere. So I drop the pad and go after him. He goes into the round pen, trots around like a dummy then faces me and just lets me catch him. Which has me mumbling under my breath about stupid dummy horses.
We move on. I get up on him and start out at a walk in the barn. We trot, lope such as that. Then we head out. I have to stop first so I can get off and make my right stirrup longer then the other... why? becuase I'm not normal. I have the ride with with the right one longer because it gets to hurting from my knee down. I don't know why, it's just a strange thing with me. I get back on with me leg feeling much better now. I get into a trot. And there we are plodding along when all of a sudden CJ shys at something and jerks hard to the right. What was it you may ask? A snake? maybe a paper sack? oh no it was a stinkin' patch of dirt! See I ride in a alfalfa field, so there is... well... alfalfa. Well every now and then you'll be riding in all that alfala and you'll come upon a patch of dirt or something. And CJ decides that is a terrifying thing that is going to eat him. I ride this horse in this exact same field everytime I go over there. This isn't the first time he's done it several times. We'll be riding a long some days and he'll come upon a dirt patch, shy then we keep going and he shys again at another patch of dirt. He doesn't do this all the time mind you, just on some days. And it really isn't cool whenever you aren't expecting it. He's messed up my back doing that before and it really bugs me. Then after he gets over his fear of the dirt he decides to shy at a weed blowing in the wind... stupid horse.
After all that I ride two others. They weren't to bad. Choppo is just a lazy bum, and Cosmo can be a pain but they weren't awful. I seriously these horses are out to torture me. But when ya think about it, I would have a boring life if nothing ever happened, if the horses acted perfect... so it makes my life... interesting. Well I get done at about 11:30 then I get to come home. Eat some dinner, do some school. And such as that. So that has pretty much been my day so I'm going to end my post now.

Allsups
Has anyone ever noticed that all allsups smell the same? I mean seriously! they do. I was actually talking about this on the phone with someone.... They said that they hadn't noticed this.... hmmm.... ok so maybe I'm the only weird one that has noticed this, but hey like I said before I have never claimed to be normal. But I mean really. I find it to be the strangest thing. I've gone into a lot of Allsups, in several different states. And they smell the exact same! How weird is that, I mean really to have all these stores all over the country... well I don't know if they are all over the country or not... but they've been everywhere I've been. But to have them smell the same.... weird. Oh and their food taste the way the store smells... ok so that may not make sense, you'd just have to eat something from there to understand. Maybe they do it on purpose... they could use the same air freshner or something.... hmmmm..... Well I'm going to leave ya'll with this strange thought of mine.

Sadness, smashed finger, onions, and ink stains
So this morning was kind of hard for me, I was stressing about some stuff... like really stressing. But a great person made it better :) but I've still been sad... but I don't want to get into all that. Anyways so I couldn't think of what to cook for dinner (lunch) well I finally decided on enchiladas, well kind of enchiladas you just cook the hamburger meat, make green chile sauce, do the corn torrillas in oil, grate chesse, and the people just make them themselves. Well I had to go out to the barn to get a package of hamburger meat, we keep it out there in a big freezer. As I'm going out I go through the stupid door and well... smash my finger in the door... which results in me yelping in pain and start jumping up and down, and shaking my hand... (why do I do that it's not like it helps) and going "Dangitt, dangitt, dangitt." It really didn't feel very good, I had a red finger for most of the morning... stupid door....
After all that I get my hamburger meat thawed and cooking. Check laundry and such. I already had the house clean... then I dice some potatoes, and get them cooking in the oven. Then we start on the green chile sauce. I chop the chiles in the food processor. Then I saute the onions and garlic in olive oil... saute... that is kind of a funny word, saute. Kind of a fancy sounding word if you ask me.... hmmmm. Oh onions... stupid, stupid onions. I hate onions, I don't like them in food, I don't like them period. I cut into it start chopping them up. And then we get the eye burning, and watering and me sitting there mumbling "stupid onions... oh stupid onions." (wipe my eyes) "stupid, stupid onions." Then I have to step back walk around the kitchen wiping my burning, watering eyes. Stupid onions.... can we say bitter against onions? hmmm... yes.
Then we move on... I almost drop a fork on my poor little toes... hmm maybe I should start wearing shoes while I cook, to protect my little feet... ok big feet. Well I get everything cooked... and wait for everyone to show up back at the house to eat... I wait and wait... as my food is getting cold. But they finally show up. I start folding clothes right after we eat, and discover ink spots on one of my shirts! then another one... then one of my brothers, and a few other shirts... I was not very happy, and neither was my mom. We take them into the laundry room, and I scrub on them with rubbing achohol, and this stain remover stuff... for 3 stinkin hours. I get all the stains out of all the shirts, but my brothers brand new one. So I got to sit back in the laundry room and mumble about stupid stains. Grrrrr..... and I finish, with most of the stains out with sore arms. And I go to clean the kitchen, then fold laundry. Now I'm on here, posting :) and now I now I better go, this has been another long post. I need to go heat up supper...

Chillin with the Jones
Since my parents decided they wanted to get away from us children they picked up and left yesterday morning for Amarillo TX... I just can't believe they didn't take me... Anyways Friday night was Cowboy Church, we had a decent turn out, we just had food, and then my dad read a verse and talked about it and such. It was kind of more of a time for fellowship. So anyways Nathan and I went home with Jennifer and John for the weekend. Taylor came and stayed Saturday night.
Saturday we just kind of hung out, watched tv. Then we went out and I took Jennifer and Johns pictures... it was... interesting. They didn't want to be very coopertave. So the pictures didn't turn out quite how I had hoped, but oh well some of them were ok. After that we had some dinner... er I mean lunch. (we we call lunch dinner, and dinner supper.... so maybe your thinking we are weird... I don't think so, I just think we are the only normal ones) So anyways then we watched 'Ice age the meltdown' I do have to say, that was a some what amusing movie. I just love Scrat and Sid, Scrat is the coolest character. As me and Nathan watched that Jennifer and John layed down, they are such old people... ok.. so I admit I take naps too... hmm... Then we watched Flushed away... that movie was pretty stupid. But I loved the little worm, green slimy things... I'm still not exactly sure what they were.... hmmm.... but I liked them, they rocked :)
Well then we leave at like 3:40 or something like that and meet up with Taylor and a guy we know from church Bill and went dove hunting! At first it was kind of boring cause all we got to do was sit there... but then I started to enjoy it. I loved watching the guys get all excited whenever some dove flew by. They'd get to spinning around, which resulted in my sis going to me and Nathan.. "Get down! move. Look out!" I was thinking she was thinking that they were going to shoot us... can we say slighty paranoid? We yanked Nathan out of the way several times whenever she thought they were going to hit us. I got a kick out of it. Sad thing was whenever the guys would go off walking around or whatever all these dove would fly right by where me and Jen and Nathan were... we were in a serious need of a gun.
Then John let me shoot his shotgun some... I pretty much loved it :] I blasted some birds, right out of the sky. I hit 'em and then swirled in the air and SLAP right on the ground.... ok, ok so I never hit anything... but oh well... And then everybody thought I was going to shoot them... hmmm... I can't understand why they would think such a thing..... They all got scared whenever I got a hold of the gun, they had such little confidence in me. I really want shotgun now. Now I bet ya'll are all thinking that I'm going to tell ya'll that when I shot it it knocked me on my butt... that would be funny.. well to ya'll anyways... but HA! I did not get knocked on my butt :] HA! again. It was great though, I didn't want to stop, or give it back
. Well anyways it kind of started to get dark so we went to shoot some skeet. That is some fun stuff. I got one... out of like five... I think... hmmm. I was happy about that one though cause I've never actually gotton one :) And we even got Jennifer talked into doing it, she was scared at first, hehe. And then we all got to shoot Bill's pistol. I pretty much want one of those now too, it was AWESOME! Very addicting, I've wanted to shoot a pistol forever! and I finally got to do it. Well then it started getting way to dark. So John, Jen, Nathan, and myself loaded up our 12 doves and headed back to their house while Taylor took Bill back to the house to his jeep. Then he came over, and John cooked the dove... it was... different. I can honestly say I'm not a huge fan of the stuff. But it wasn't bad. Then we all stayed up watching some bull riders get slammed into the dirt, then went to bed. I slept, hard. Next morning we all be lazy bums and just kind of hang around. Watch the Fugitive. Then me and Taylor and Nathan head home after dinner... lunch, whatever. Hmmm so it that was my weekend... this was a long, and not so great post. Sorry about that. Now I'm thinking I'm probabl;y needing to go bed since I have work in the morning... hope I don't get bucked off.

My work morning...
So I get to tell ya'll about my... some what interesting day at work... Well I get up this morning, get ready then me and my mom head out. And me being the dunce that I am drove... ok I like to drive, but not with my mom...(I love her, but she is not fun to drive with... at all) I was going this morning and I was getting ready to turn, well there is a car about to go by. My mom says I can make it, then she says I can't, then she says I can. So I get kind of flustered and turn the wheel a little harder then I should have, I DID NOT jerk it. My Mom: "You can make that if you hurry, no you can't, wait yes
you can." (I
go to turn, flustered.) My Mom: "DON'T JERK THE
WHEEL!" Me: "I didn't!, I'm sorry!" I repeat I DID NOT jerk the wheel. Anyways we get there, and there is not a soul there... hmmmm.... I'm wondering what is going on cause we are suposed to have clients. I work at a theraputic horseback riding center, so I work two days
a week. Monday I exercise the horses, Thursday I help out with the clients. Well
I cannot figure out what the heck was going on. So I just go ahead and go
capture one of the horses Harvey. I bring him in and do the usual: picking out
feet, brush and vacuum... yes we have a vacuum for the horses, putting on the
saddle such as that. I do all that and get up on him. We start out all slow and
easy, making him flex such as that.... then we have some fun....
This certain horse will sometimes be extremely onery. Today was one of those days. Well today I would try to get him into a trot, or lope and he'd get to flinging his head around and all like a idiot. So I grabbed the lead rope off one of the halters... Everytime he got to flinging that head, or anything else he didn't need to do I'd rear back and pop him on the butt as hard as I could with that leadrope. Now I'll admit I probably went about this allllll wrong, but sometimes I think pain does them a little good. Well about the second or third time I popped him, he decided to try and dump me. It was crazy! he jumped up, got to sunfishin, twisting and turning, and I'm up there, just a whooping and a hollering, spurring him and fanning my hat going "Yeee Heee!!!!"... Ummm... ok, ok so maybe that didn't quite happen... It was more of a cro hop then a buck.... But anyways, we went through that episode, well actually we went througha few... He actually did try and dump me about three times... but I did get a hold of him and he didn't get 'er done.
So we went outside and we have two alfala fields we ride in. I was in one and this horse kept trying to get a bite cause this stuff is pretty tall. The whole time you have me going.
"Harvey get your head up... Harvey! you little dummy get your dang head up!." We do this all the time... so I get my handy little additude ajuster, and everytime he goes for a bite I just popped him. It worked great! :) he learned. He jumped with me a couple of time... hmmmm... maybe I popped him a little hard.... Well I go back and ride him in the barn some more just to get him cooled off. And by this time he's pretty sweaty. I get off, get him unsaddled. And you know that the little brat tried to do to me while I was cleaning out his feet!? He tried to BITE me! Which resulted in me saying. "Harvey! you little jerk." And jabbing him in the nose with the screw driver... stinkin little horse.... But I am sad though cause he does happen to be my favorite and they are getting rid of him :( poor little baby...
Then we get to move on to CJ (Chubbs Junior) This horse is a BEAST! he is like a stinkin truck, it takes him a mile to get stopped... ok maybe not a mile but it sure does seem like it. Me and CJ have issues. He doesn't like me, and I don't like him. We go through the same thing whenever I'm riding him in the field. We are riding along, he ducks his head to get food and almost falls over himself. And I say. "CJ you stupid little... er big animal. Your going to fall all over yourself if you don't get that dang head up. CJ! CJ!!!! get that dad blasted head up!" Hmmm it's obvious I have issues... And yes I talk to my horses thank you. Well I get off of him and we go on about our day. Oh and I forgot everyone else did show up actually, our clients didn't show up until 10:30, so everyone came at 9, instead of 8.... So that was my morning with my wonderful horses.... I'm going to stop writing now cause I made this post waaaay longer then I meant.

Smelly, smelly dogs
Every single on of our dogs has discovered a dead cow that was behind our barn, and they ALL decided to roll in the dang thing... Why is it that dogs get such a thrill out of rolling in dead animals? Ginger decided to roll in a dead bird lastnight, then got her feelings hurt cause nobody would let her sleep with them because she smelled awful! she actually did rolled in the stinky thing twice, Nathan gave her a bath this morning then she got outside and did it again so I had to give her another bath... It took me forever to get her smelling nice... nasty dogs. And then when I went out for my run this morning they all came up and were trying to jump on me, and I kept trying to keep the vile smelling things away from me.... It is just something I do not understand... Do they think it makes them smell good? Well is sure as heck doesn't. But according to Rip and Snort the two coyote brothers from the wonderfully funny Hank the Cowdog books (ok so yeah they are kids books.... but I still like them) according to them rolling in dead things makes you smell good, and makes the ladies think you smell good... hmmm I'm not to sure about their thinking, it very well might attract the lady dogs.. or coyotes, but it sure doesn't attract humans...

Weiner dogs...
This morning I was awoken from my peaceful, pleasent sleep by our weiner dog, Ginger. Now she always goes to bed with Nathan at night, but in the early morning hours she arises and comes into my room. She sits by my bed and starts whinying, and whimpering and making all these strange noises... So I wake up, half way anyways and say
So she sits there and whines. I will sometimes just ignore her, and she keeps making these strange, whimpering/whinying noises and she continues to do so until I life up my covers and say "Come on Ginger." She sitsthere "Ginger get your stinking weiner dog butt up here." Still sitting there. "Ginger get up her now!" She then jumps up and put her front paws on my bed and looks at me. "Come on Ginger." Finally she jumps up then dives to the very end of my bed right by my feet. And I just sigh, roll my eyes and fall back asleep. So why can't the dog just jump up there without making noises and wating for permission from me? I don't know, it's just a weird Ginger thing... so anyways I wake up in the morning with her laying on her side right by me, with her head only inches from mine... crazy animal....
This mornings weather was perfect though. I woke up cuddled up in mybed with only my head sticking out of the covers and a dog laying beside me, I look out the window and it's a overcast sky. My favorite type of weather, overcast and cold, which is exaclty what is was. So I'm kind of strange, I'm not like a dark person or anything I just love dreary days :) I never claimed to be normal.
So after a while I decided to stop being a bum drag myself out of my warm, cozy bed and change clothes and eat some breakfast. I then put the dishes into the dish washer. Then go into my room, close the door, turn on my computer, turn on some Thousand foot Krutch, and start cleaning... yes my room was kind of in a mess.... But I got it cleaned up. Then I took my camera outside and took some pictures, then I went off on the 4 wheeler with my camera. Took some photos and such. Tormented a ant... well I was actually trying to take a picture of it but it kept running away from me... stupid ant. Then I swalled a bug while I was driving the 4 wheeler... yeah... that'll teach me to not open my mouth while I driving that thing but ya know it's a well known fact that bugs are a good source of protein... why can't something that tastes good be a good source of protein, after I did that I had that Hank the Cowdog song going through my head about eating bugs... "Eating bugs is lots of fun..." Haha
Anyways so I took off back to the house came up to some mudpuddles... I actually thought about going through them but I figured I would probably get stuck and I didn't exactly want to walk all the way back to the house, since I was quite a ways from it. And besides all that there putting up a oil rig thing and I would had to have walked by it and I didn't want to do that cause there are some strange characters that work on those things... not trying to be mean or anything but it's true. I'm not a very trusting soul, but hey ya can never be to careful. Hmmm I should learn karate or take self defense or something so I can kick some butt if anyone ever decides to try and mess with me.... hehe. So anyways I just turned around and went back the way I came, it did take me quite a while longer to get back to the house, but oh well. So yes I'm going to put the pictures up on facebook and probably photobucket case anyone is interested in looking at them. Now I must go do something... not sure what, haha.

"Shut up and go away." Ginger: (whines) Me: *growls* "Shut up." Ginger: arrr
(does quiet bark) Thinking: Stupid dog...

You'd think I'd learn...
Ok so I'm sure that pretty much everyone has put their hand under hot water running out of the faucet at sometime or the other. Well I happen to do it almost everyday! A lot of the time I turn on the hot water so I can rinse the food off our plates, silverware, or whatever so I can put it into the dish washer. Well then without thinking I stick my hand under the water to rinse it off, or to get the dish rag wet or something, which leads to a burned hand and me jumping up and down going "Dangitt, ouch! dang, dang, dang that hurt!" and then shaking my hand thinking that will ease the pain... yeah right like that is really going to work. I mean seriously I do it almost every day! Sometimes I'll have the hot water running then I turn it off, then a few seconds later turn it back on, and me being me forgets that is a going to be hot sticks my hand under it again, causing myself more pain. Wouldn't you think I'd learn, I mean any other person would have learned after the first are second time. Are atleast wouldn't do it so much. I also love it when I have silverware under the hot water then I go to pick it up and it's really hot. Then I drop it and go "Dangitt!" Goodness...
Not only that but I also seem to injure myself in other ways. I'm such a butter fingers so I will sometimes drop things on my feet such as: Silverware-butter knives, steak knives, forks, spoons whatever. Pots, rocks, anything you can imagine. I have stubbed my toe a number of times, actually just here recently when I was on the phone, oh and I also hit my head really hard on the headboard on my bed the other day, I was also on the phone whenever that happened... But that was mainly because of the person I was talking too ;) I have tripped over stuff which pretty much always resulted in hurting myself. I mean I seem to always do something to injure myself... why? well it's not like I mean too. Maybe I'm just that way to give people a good laugh...

So I decided to make a blog on here instead of xanga... why you may ask? Well I was having some issues with xanga(it was giving me problems) and I just wanted something different anyways :). So pretty much what I'll put on here, is just my... well... thoughts, which a lot of the time will probably be totally random, and pointless, they might be kind of crazy and wild, and maybe every now and then there will be a deep one, who knows. I'll also post about the happenings in my life, whether boring, or maybe even a little exciting, guess we'll just see.Sara
