Well it is about to be January 1st 2008... wow. I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by! A lot has happened in just one year. It's been good. I decided to go through all the months and list at least one thing that happened.
January: I almost quit my job. Justin started the youth group at our church.
February: It was a sadder month. My aunt past away, and that was heartbreaking. But I did meet my good friend Jessica this month.
March: I went to Mexico on my first mission trip! I met a few people. And got to know some others pretty well.
April: Well I don't have anything for April.. nothing to excited must have happened. I did have to talk in front of a bunch of people about the Mission trips. Yipes.
May: We went to my friend Joshua's graduation. I went to a woman's conference with our church.
June: Our youth group has a awesome paintball game. And we went to the mountains with our youth group for a weekend.
July: We went to Mexico a second time! I got to know a couple of other people.
August: Us as a family went camping. Spent some time at the county fair... and I got my drivers permit.
September: Spent a interesting weekend with Jennifer and John. And found out something sad about a friend.
October: Spent a little time at the Eastern Fair. Went a bronc riding in Seymour Texas.
November: Spent my very first night alone. Went to the Amarillo ranch rodeo. And I fed the crew for the very first time. And got spacers.
December: Got my braces. Went to Mexico a third time. And... turned 16!
See haven't I had a interesting year? I got to go two awesome weeks and a weekend in Mexico. Met some really cool people. Don't get me wrong it hasn't been perfect. There has been some not so great stuff that went on. I've made plenty of mistakes. Had to deal with stupid drama. And numerous other things. But I got through them.
My relationship with Christ has grown this year, and that has been the best thing. I've learned about just how great His love for me is, how much He wants a relationship with me. How I am fearfully and wonderfully made. How I'd be nothing without Him, nothing at all. How I have to surrender everything over to Him. Doing my own thing just doesn't work out at all. He's has definitely been working on me this year. And I know He will continue too. There is more, so much more! It is exciting to think about.
But I do think about getting older. I just turned 16... It has finally started to sink in. People keep asking me if I feel different... well no not really. But whenever I think about it, it's just like.... dang. I'm 16! I will be 18 in two more years. Two more years that will probably fly by. I remember being a little kid and how I wanted to be older, couldn't wait to get older. It wasn't that I wanted to get older and leave the house. No I wanted to get older and stay home, never leave. Never get married. Ever. I mean c'mon boys were gross. I claimed that I would NEVER start liking boys. I liked it how it was. Where I could play with them. And we could have cake wars... and race... and all that other stuff. Never... right. Let's just say... I've come to hate that word. Stupid stupid word..... Anyways... now that I'm starting to get older I've decided I want to be younger again. Life was so simple. I could just play with my older brother and sister in the sandbox. And we could play ranch, of course Taylor had to always be the boss. And we played Laura Ingalls... and made zip lines... and threw cats off the hay stack in a parachute... that is other story to be told another time. We could play in the tree house...
It was just. Simple. Now... it's not. I'm not saying it is super complicated. But it is definitely more complicated then it used to be. Now I have to make stupid decisions. I don't like making decisions.... getting older is overrated....
It is just pretty crazy. And now.... another year is gone. I am another year older. But I am excited to see what the Lord has for me this year, and the next year, and the next year... and yeah ya'll get the point. Well it will be 12:00 soon... sooo................
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring..not even a mouse...
Its Christmas Eve!!!! Yep. Hard to believe that tomorrow is Christmas!!!!
It was a pretty busy day. I had to work this morning. Ugh. I really didn't want too. I was hoping, really hoping that out of the kindness of her heart my boss would let me off. Just this one day... she obviously doesn't have any kindness in her heart. All the other ladies get off for like two weeks... I didn't want off two weeks. Just one measly little day. Is that to much to ask? I guess so. Oh well. So I dragged my poor pitiful, freezing cold body out of bed this morning. And dressed in tons of layers. It was so cold! And I was tired. We went to Texas Saturday, and came back Sunday, got home kind of late and I was tiiired. I piled on clothes, got my hot chocolate that my momma had prepared for me and went off to work! Yeahh it was cooold. But! I survived!
I finished up with my horses and came home. We ate a little bit. Then got busy. My mom had to do a lot of cooking. So I cleaned the bathroom, folded loads of laundry, wrapped quite a few presents, and made a cracker toffee thing... Mmmm.
Cleaning to bathroom was... not much fun. But who gets joy out of cleaning the bathroom? Nobody I know. And... folding laundry was... blah. Yeah that is a good word, blah. Haha. I've never been fond of folding laundry. Its not a hard task really, just not very enjoyable. Its like... sweeping the floor, and washing silverware, not hard. I just... don't like it. Wrapping presents, now that is something I like to do. Not totally sure why. Maybe cause then I know what everyone is getting :-) Hehe. And... making the cracker toffee. That isn't hard. All you do is lay saltines down in a pan lined with foil, then boil brown sugar, and butter, pour over the saltines, cook for like... 5 minutes, take out, sprinkle chocolate chips on the top. And when those melt then you spread it all around. Very good I say, very good. As I was laying the saltines down, I got almost the whole pan done and I realized I had forgotten to butter the pan... Oh phooey. So I had to take them all out again, butter the pan then re-do it. Phooey. Oh well.
Uhh... after I did that. I washed dishes, stirred cooking hamburger meat, and BBQ sauce... watched the potatoes. Then I got to eat. Mmmmm food.... Me and my daddy cleaned up the kitchen afterward. Then we just all sat down. Joshua came over for a bit :) then... he left. And now everyone else is sitting down. Watching... a... movie.
Well that has been my Christmas Eve. Not super exciting. I'm pretty tired though. So I believe I'll head to bed soon. Then Christmas will be here! not only that but my birthday. Yep that is right :) So..........................................
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

His Love
I've been going through Jeremiah. I came across a verse in chapter 3 verse 1.
"They say, 'If a man divorces his wife,
And she goes from him
And becomes another man's,
May he return to her again?'
Would not the land be greatly polluted?
But you have played the harlot with many lovers;
Yet return to Me," says the Lord.
I was thinking about the part that says Yet return to Me. How cool is it that even if we mess up, or fall away we can return to Him. He WANTS us too. He just loves us THAT much.
I also read in Lamentations. In 3:40-42
Let us search out and examine our ways, and turn back to the Lord;
Let us lift our hearts and hands to God in heaven. We have transgressed and rebelled;
You have not pardoned.
It says examine our ways and TURN back to the Lord. Just think about that. He allows us to come back to Him. He could say after we've messed up are fallen away "Okay I'm done with you. You messed up, you fell away. Now your finished, go away from Me." But He doesn't! He loves us so much that He wants us to be with Him. He wants us to return to Him.
He has patience that I cannot even understand. Why He loves us so much that He wants us to be with Him.... even after we've fallen away... I just cannot understand it. He stands there with arms opened wide welcoming us back. Wow!
I have terrible patience. I think after awhile I'd just be like. I'm done with you. Forget it.
Thanks goodness He doesn't do that with us... I don't know. I can't even... grasp it. My small little brain cannot wrap around it all.
Even if we fall away and go after... money... are... whatever. All the different stupid things we tend to follow after. He'll still welcome us back. Return to HIM.
It talks a lot in 1 John about abiding in Him. He abides in us, and us in Him. He loves us so much that He wants a personal relationship with us. He didn't just place us on this earth and have that be it. No He wants us to enter into Him.
Why would He love us that much? I have NO idea. We've sinned, we've fallen away, we've as it said in the verse, transgressed, and rebelled, we've done so many different things. Yet He stills loves us. It's amazing.... more then amazing! there is no words to describe it all.
I just sit here... trying to write out my feelings, trying to put it all into words. And I'm not doing a very good job of it.
How can I even put it into words?
His love is powerful
His love it amazing
His love is everlasting
His love is wonderful
His love is incredible.
I can write those things... but I just CANNOT describe it. I try too... but I just can't. It's just too wonderful. He loved us to much that He died for us. There is no greater love.
I'm so thankful that He does love me. Nobody else in this world could love me. But HE does. And that is the only love I need. I'm grateful that He is mindful of me. I am so unworthy. So very unworthy... We don't need to forget His love.
The song I'm listening too right now put it well. My heart is overflowing with His love.
Now that I'm done... attempting to spill out all I've been thinking about I'll end this post. G'Night all.
Don't forget how much He loves you.

Sugar cookies, and little brothers.
Yesterday was... a interesting day I guess you could say.
Well I did... what did I do in the morning... oh! work. Right. Yeah I went to work. Nothing to interesting happened there. I come home, eat some food. And my parents leave for town. To do some groceries shopping... and I think some Christmas shopping. Taylor was gone day working, so... that left me home with... NATHAN.
I had stuff that needed to be done. Clean the kitchen, bathroom, living room. And make sugar cookies. I had made the dough the day before so all I had to do was cut them out and cook 'em. Nathan got to bugging me around doing them. "Sara let's do the cookies."... I'd tell him AFTER I clean the house. But he still continued with the "Saaaarrraa can we pleeease do the cookies?" NO NATHAN. Gosh.
While I was cleaning the kitchen I had the dishwasher opened up. He got to bugging me about... something. I was telling him to get out of the kitchen and let me finish. He was walking backwards.... and he... well... fell over the dishwasher. And I... ran over and helped him up. Checking him for any bleeding... Uhhh... Well... I actually... errrr... uhhh... laughed at him. I was doubled over, trying to contain my laughter. Yeah it was just that funny. Are maybe it was just cause I'm easily amused. Ahem. So after he got up he got really ticked at me. Yelling at me saying it was all my fault and I made him do it, and that I shouldn't have been talking to him, and blah, blah, blah. Ummm. How was it MY fault? I was on the other end of the room. Standing there. Yes I was talking to him, but how did that make him fall over it... I don't understand how his mind works. We got into a fight about it. He got all emotional, went into the living room... and... blubbered. Gosh.
Well he was quite upset with me. And he kept on screaming at me that it was my fault... during all this I was on the phone with Caitlin (Sorry Caitlin) I kept asking him to go outside. Well he didn't want to go outside. I begged him to please go outside. For just a little while. And I told him I'd make the cookies after I got the house cleaned up, and he could come in and help me with them. I was trying to be reasonable. It didn't work. He was still madder then a wet hen at me. And just didn't care what I had to say. I did finally get him outside though. He went out at first and sat on the picnic table. Still crying. Then he left, I didn't see him for awhile. Then while I was rinsing off dishes he walked by in the yard, looked in the window and glared at me.
He came in at one time... still mad at me. Kicked me. Then I told him I was going to make the sugar cookies since he had acted like that. And so I got begged. He begged me ALL AFTERNOON. "Sara please, please. I was just playing. I didn't mean it." He at one time got down on his hands and knees begging. Finally after I just couldn't stand it anymore I told him if he'd do the chores, and clean the bathroom I would make the stinkin' cookies. I knew if I didn't do them then I would have to do them today. And I just didn't want to do that. So I made the cookies. He did the chores. And I thought he did the bathroom. But I walked in there and he hadn't done anything. Grrrrr. I did it myself.
Hey I did get 20 bucks though! Our neighbor off way behind our house is building a house and so there are sometimes people who go by taking stuff back there. Well at about... 4:30 this big huge white van pulled up. I went out there and they said told me who they were looking for. Robert, our neighbor. So I told them how to get back there. A little bit later they come back. Well they couldn't find it... gosh. So I told them I could lead them back there. When I said that the lady looked at me with big eyes and was like "You can!" uhhh... yeah. Do I not look capable of driving are what. So I hollered at Nathan and we loaded up in my dad's ranch pickup and off we went. Down the rocky, bumpy dirt road. I get them there. The lady thanks me, and gives me 20 bucks. Well thanks! I wave at Robert and we go back to the house. I make the sugar cookies, eat some supper. Talk to Caitlin on the phone... again. And crash.
Hmmm ya'll want to hear about today? Probably not but I'm going to tell ya'll about it anyway. It wasn't just super exciting. Me and my mom cleaned house this morning. We have family coming in this evening and tomorrow. So it needs to be clean... I'm not quite sure why though, the minute they get here its just going to turn into a disaster area again... oh well. I got to clean the living room and bathroom... I'm not to fond of cleaning to bathroom. But it has to be done. Something I really don't understand is why we have so many dang toothbrushes! I mean seriously. There is 5 of us in this house. We have 9 toothbrushes. 4 extra! Do two people in this family need 2 toothbrushes are what. Maybe so. So then they can brush one side of their mouth with one, and brush the other side with the other... maybe their being... smart... I just really don't understand..... ah well.
Later I load up with my two brothers and my papa and we go to a Christmas party! The people my dad work for have a "appreciation meal." every year for us employees. Oh fun. Squeezed in a single cab pickup with two brothers. While I'm sitting in between of them. Fun... fun. Nathan spends most of the time chattering... about... interesting things? nope. Nonsense, absolute nonsense. But you know what? after awhile he stopped talking. Yes he STOPPED talking. And there was.... silence. Wow. We arrive after a 30 minute drive. Eat some good food, talk to some peeps. Then we leave and go get some hay. We get halfway home and my dad remembers the tire he dropped off at the tire shop. He scolds us for not remembering. Oh wait. THEY scold ME. Hello. I wasn't the only one in the vehicle. What about Taylor and Nathan! gosh. So we have to go all the way back and get the tire. Then we come home! And I get to wrap presents. I'm the only one in this family that likes to wrap presents so I'm the one everyone comes to whenever they need stuff wrapped. I do it... but for a price. 50 bucks a package. I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I do it for free! cause I'm just that kind of a person ;) I really do like wrapping presents... I don't really know why though.... Oh right. I'M WEIRD.
Well I must go now. I know tears are probably running down ya'lls cheeks. And ya'll are saying "NO! Please don't end this wonderful post. Please!!!" I'm sorry! I must go! Farewell!

Oh Mexico...
I'm back in the states.... Not where I really want to be. I really want to be back in Mexico. But I'm not... I'm here.... in this desk chair... listening to music. Ho hum. Well I'll stop with ho humming and tell ya'll about the trip.
We met up at 3:00 on Friday. (3:00 in afternoon, not morning. That would just be... not cool) We loaded up the van, and Justin's mustang with luggage, boxes, and such as that. We met in the church Sanctuary and Justin did a short devotion, then we took communion. Prayed, said our goodbyes to everyone. And off we went! There were 12 of us. Nancy, Justin, Jessica, Les, Kent and Liz, me, my mama, Blair, Shadoe, Eric, and Nathan. The youngest were, well, me, Shadoe, Blair, and Nathan. So some of us loaded up in the van, some in Justin's mustang. Off down the road we went!
Its a 4 hour drive. Part of that is in the mountains. Us in the van were behind Justin in the mustang. We are cruising along and Justin pulls over..... hmmm... Justin gets out and opens the hood... oh dear. That can't be good. Eric and Les get out and they all 3 stand over the car. Les comes back. He tells us the car is overheating... not good. They do... something. I don't know, I'm not a mechanic. We decide to go on. A few minutes later. He's pulling over again... phooey. They get out and talk again. Us in the van pray. Then Eric and Les come back to the van. Its overheating again. We turn around and head back to Roswell. We are going to go back and get Les's car. So we're going along again. Then Justin turns back around. What? I thought... but... gosh. During this Eric and Justin are communicating via walkie talkie. Well Justin says the car has cooled. So we're going to try this again. Alrighty then. We go on, up and through the mountains. Nothing else happens. Whew. Thank you Lord. We stop... where was it... I don't remember. Some where, in some town at a auto zone. They get... something. I'm not very informative I guess. We use the restroom and go on our way. Later on since everyone was starving we stop at a burger place in Alamogordo. Everyone gets... well... a burger. And I drool over the burgers while I just eat fries and drink a milkshake. Yeah my mouth was hurting a little. It wasn't bad until the pain killers wore off. Well after we're done eating. We load back up and off to the border we go!
I was so ready to get there. I was in the very back seat with Shadoe and Nathan. I was in the middle. I tried and tried to sleep... no luck. It was kind hard to get comfortable. But finally! I see lights! Its El Paso!!! we're almost there! WOOHOO!!!!!!!! We go on through El Paso and come to the border. We go right through. We pull off and wait on Ernesto. Oh I guess I should tell ya'll who Ernesto is. He's the pastor of the Calvary Chapel Las Plamas, where we were going to be staying and such. I'd already mentioned this was our third trip down there. They (He and his wife, and well some workers that attend his church) are currently building a church, we've helped with that the last two times. Right now their church has a kitchen, and then the sanctuary. Which is pretty small. We ate and had our devotions and stuff in there. And they have a upstairs, with two rooms. One for the boys, one for the girls. Its very nice. I'll show pictures at the end of the post. Anyways. So we waited on Ernesto, cause well... we couldn't get to the church by ourselves. We'd probably get pretty lost.
Ernesto shows up in his little white pickup. And off we go! through the crazy streets of Juarez. Driving is... somewhat interesting. Stops signs and stuff are more of a suggestions. It gets a little wild. And there are also a lot of hills. But Eric did good! he's aggressive enough to drive in that place... I personally don't think I'd be able to handle it. After awhile we arrive at Ernesto and Maggie's. Ahhh man it felt good to be back. We meet up in the sanctuary and Ernesto just tells us some rules. Nothing big, just stuff like don't drink the water, how long of showers we needed to take, such as that. Then we all unload our junk. Meet back up in the sanctuary for a bit. Then we get to crash.
Saturday: I get woken up at... 6:30 I think it was. The only people that we awake were me, and Shadoe. Shadoe goes downstairs to take a shower. (There are two downstairs, and then one in each of the two rooms) I take one in the shower in our room. After I get out a few more people have stirred. I blow dry my hair. Then go outside to spend sometime reading the Word, and writing. Then I get coffee... Mmmm. After just a little while everyone gets up. Some shower, just do different things. We eat some yummy breakfast at 8:00. Pancakes, cereal, donuts, fruit, and yogurt. After we're all finished up. My mom does some worship, and then Justin does a devotion. Afterward he gives us some time to spend with the Lord. Its always really nice. You can just go, and sit somewhere with no distractions at all. Well besides to music that is usually blared from a few houses down. But that is just something you get used too.
After awhile we meet back up with Justin and he just opens it up to anyone that wants to share something they had read. We do that. Then Justin goes with Ernesto to get some lumber. And the rest of us put gift boxes together... I'll explain. Well I already mentioned from my last post we were taking gift boxes down to a battered woman's shelter we had been to before. Well we did it to where our church could do the boxes. There ended up not being enough. So Jessica went to shopping (she is the church's secretary) she ended up getting 4 baskets full of stuff. None of it had been put into the boxes yet. So we formed a assembly line and made boxes. Some for the woman, and some for the kids. We had, toothpaste, tooth brushes, shampoo, lotions, candy, hair stuff, coloring books, crayons, and a bunch of different kind of toys.
We ended up doing a lot of boxes. And we had extra!! Which was just the coolest thing. We get all the boxes loaded up in the back of Ernesto's pickup. Then we eat some dinner (lunch) we had tostados... that probably isn't how you spell it but oh well. Mmm I love those things though. We've had them everytime we've gone down there. They are just like a corn tortilla, with beans, hamburger meat, lettuce, cheese, and some kind of other stuff... they are sooo good! After we finish up dinner. We all load up in the van and follow Ernesto to the shelter. We stop first at a lookout point. You can see all of Juarez, and El Paso. You can definitely tell where Juarez ends and El Paso begins. It was cold up there, and windy. Brrrr.
We leave there and go on our way. It was about... a... 45 minute drive... I think. I don't remember I was to busy being nervous. Like I already said I had been there before. And it was extremely hard. Its... you can't really put it into words. The building looks like a prison, its just gray with bars on the window. They have a big yard type thing that just has trash everywhere. And inside it smells, and its dirty... its just a really sad place. Neither the kids or the woman are happy. It is unexplainable. We get there and we all step out. Nobody had been there yet besides me, my mom, Jess, and Justin. We go inside and have Ernesto translate for us. Since none of us speak hardly any Spanish. He just told them where we had come from, what we were doing there, such as that. It was cool though how the minute we mentioned presents those little kids faces just lit up. The minute we handed the boxes to the kids they just ran off with them and opened 'em up. And the ladies all told us "Gracia's" for theirs. It was just really, really cool.
For awhile there we just kind of stood there watching the kids. Then we got to playing with them. And the guys went out and did some work. The first time we had gone down there we started a little shed. Then when the guys had a trip down there over labor day they did the siding. So this time they did the roof. So they did that. Jessica held the babies, she is great with them and that was what she was wanting to do. I played with some chalk with one of the girls for awhile until she decided to wanted to do something else. After awhile I got to playing with a really cute little girl. Her name was either, Sally, or Sarah. We were pretty sure it was Sarah. She as adorable. She had this truck and she put the little dog she had gotton from her box in the truck and she loved to run in between me and Nancy's legs. She did that for awhile. Then we went downstairs to this big ole room they have. She got to chasing me around with the dog. She'd catch me and grab onto my leg and pretend like the dog was attacking me. She got to giggling, she was having a blast. We played some soccer too. Sad thing is she was better at it then I was. Haha. I really, really enjoyed playing with her.
Another little girl came and played with us too. Her name was Leslie. I became attached. I would have brought her home if I could have. I have her a piggy back ride. That she loved. I'd run around, and then spin her and she'd just get to laughing. I asked her once if she wanted down. All I got was her holding on tighter and saying "No, No, No." She liked gum too. She had a whole mouth full of gum. And pockets full of candy, and a handful of suckers. We decided we might have given them a little to much candy... but oh well it made them happy :) Aww man she was just the cutest thing. It was cool that we could make those kids happy. Even if it was just for one day. I wish so badly that we could have done more. But we did make them all happy. And that is a good feeling. It was a good day. It was hard to leave, I felt so sad. Little Leslie was just standing there... and... ahh... it was hard. I pray we'll be able to do some more stuff there. Those ladies need Christ. That is the biggest thing. We want to do some stuff there though. They have a well but its contaminated from the sewer. So they have no running water. They take baths by pouring water over their heads. And they have to haul water back and forth to fill up the washing machine... its hard. That place needs prayer. Definitely.
I could go on, and on about it all. Its heartbreaking it really, really is. Its unfair why it has to be that way. Why those poor little kids have to live that way. They were just born into it all. Its not right how many abused woman there our out there... its all just... AHHHHH!!!! makes me want to scream. Its just not right.
After we get back from the shelter. We do some different things while we wait for supper. I shower, we talk, read, just different stuff. We have some great supper. And we have a reflection time. Justin just asks us all what we thought of the day, what we got out of it, such as that. And after awhile we crash.
Sunday: We do kind of the same thing. Everyone gets up, some shower. We eat. Have devotions, pack, clean up our rooms, and just some various other things. Talk to Ernesto and Maggie. And I err... rope a dog... hey Ernesto wanted me to do it! It was his dog Colby. I caught him by one of his front legs. And man it tripped him. Bad. It was pretty funny though. And Ernesto got a kick out of it. We then all go in and sit in for the church service. Which was very awesome. Even if we didn't understand a word they were saying. The music was great! I loved the music. After its over we say goodbye to Ernesto and Maggie. We load up. Me in the mustang with Justin, Jess, and my mom. Ernesto leads us to the border is his pickup and off we go. Going over the border is up hill and then down hill. Going up. The mustang started over heating again... ohhh goodness... It was boiling. So finally whenever we reach the part that goes down hill Justin kills the engine and we just coast all the way down. It was... interesting. But it cooled down! We get to the American side. And go through... the... thing. Where ya have to stop, and they check you and such as that. We pull up... the lady seemed nice enough. She took our passports, asked out citizenship. And then checked inside the trunk. We make it on through okay. But we were worried about the van. They made it through all right too.
After all that we go on down the road. Stop for gas, get some snacks to hold us off until we stop in Ruidoso to eat at... Cafe Rio! they have the best pizza EVER. Nothing really exciting happened on the way... Justin had us laughing... by just.. being Justin. Oh man it was fun. They even sang. We get back to Roswell at exactly 7:00. Then... we... well... went home. I was sad. I really didn't want to go home. But... I had too.... ho hum.
To sum up the whole trip. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so very thankful the Lord allowed us to go down there. I hope we are able to go again. God is AMAZING.
Well I think that is everything... I probably left something out. If I did... well I'll just... edit later... maybe. This is probably been the longest post I've ever written...
I'll post some pictures now.

Calvary Chapel Las Plamas. A light in a dark place.

Inside. Where they have church, and where we eat.

The kids with their boxes

This is where they get their water now. They is it for everything. Drinking, bathing, laundry. And it has no lid.

Front of the shelter

Me and little Leslie.

All of us in front of the church that is being built.
There are more here.
The joy of braces
Today... was THE day. The day I had to get braces... oh joy. I went to work this morning. Rode my horses in a rush. Got home at 11:30. Took a 3 minute shower (yes I can do that thank you) blow dried my air. Ate a smallish bite of food. By this time its 12:00. Took a shower, dried my hair, and ate all in 30 minutes. Oh yes, I'm good ;) Well off we go! I fall asleep in the backseat. And by 1:15 we have arrived at the place I had been dreading. I get to go in right whenever we get there. And then it starts.
The nice lady tells me to sit down in the middle chair. I do. She puts the little... bib looking thing on me. Then yanks out my spacers. It felt really weird after they were gone. But it didn't last long cause she put these round band type things where the spacers had been. And then she starts putting this stuff on my teeth. "Its going to taste and feel like dirt." Yep she was right. It did. Yuck. She and the dentist were trying to talk to my while I had this icky stuff in my mouth. And well it wasn't exactly easy to talk.... After she gets done putting it all on my teeth. She tells me to to go brush me teeth and come back. Alrighty then. I come back and sit down again.
She does some more weird stuff to my teeth. Uses the little saliva sucker and such. Puts some more nastiness on my teeth. Then we go to the mold thing. Ugh. She shows me the metal thing that will go in my mouth. Then tells me she'll put a paste thing on it and it'll go in my mouth. Then she says. "This sometimes slides to the back of your throat. And it makes a lot of people gag. Are you a gagger?" Oh... great... I tell her no I am not a gagger. Then she walks off. And comes back with the metal thing full of pink gunk. She the sticks it up in my mouth. It was pretty nasty. And they had to stay in my mouth awhile. She had a hard time pulling it out. I was worried it wouldn't. Yikes.
After that I had to go brush again. I come back. She does more stuff. More saliva sucking and all that good stuff. Then we move on to the wonderful thing that gets stuck in your mouth that opens up your mouth really wide. And pulls your gums back. Its not much fun sitting there with this huge thing in your mouth. And someone sitting over you messing with your teeth. I felt like I was in surgery are something. She puts more nasty stuff on my teeth. Stuff that is sour tasting. She tells me not to swallow it. Then she rinses all in my mouth, then sucks it all out again. Ugh. Puts these things in my cheeks that are supposed to keep inside of my mouth dry. Then we move on to the brackets. That wasn't so bad. She just did the glue, then the bracket. The dentist had to come over twice and do a "bracket check." .... hmmm... guess he just had to make sure the lady did it right. He did a lot of prodding around in my mouth. Made me move my head this way, and that way. Up and down. After he said that they were okay the nice lady gets out this little tool thing.... with I blue light.... and I sit there wondering what the heck it is. I still don't know. But she used it a lot. Hmmm....
We move on to the wire. That I didn't like much. It just doesn't feel right having wire stuck in your teeth, then sticking out. And it seemed like it took forever. Maybe just cause I'd been sitting in that chair so long. Hardly able to swallow are do anything. Ugh. Finally after what seemed like forever she is done with the wire. And I'm done! well not quite yet. I have to wait to get "instructions." which are. How to floss, how to brush correctly, what not to eat, so on and so forth. THEN I'm done! YAY!!
We stop and I get a hamburger on the way home. I was told by several people I needed to eat after I got them on. Well that wouldn't be a problem. I do like food ya know.
Now I have these weird, extremely strange feeling things in my teeth. But so far they haven't really been sore. Thank goodness. I guess I'll get used to them after awhile...hopefully... I just have to think about what pretty, straight teeth I'll have in... however many years....
Well I shall bid you all farewell. I need to go pack.
MEXICO TOMORROW!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!!!
The nice lady tells me to sit down in the middle chair. I do. She puts the little... bib looking thing on me. Then yanks out my spacers. It felt really weird after they were gone.

Sitting here on a Monday night
I'm just sitting here.... on a Monday night. Rocking out to some David Crowder. Normally I'd be at youth. But I didn't get to go in tonight. My mom wasn't feeling to swell. And Taylor didn't want to go in. So that left me without someone to ride in with me. :( Dang I need my license... then I CAN DRIVE ALL BY MYSELF!!!!!! Just two more months....
Well honestly and truthfully (haha that sounded funny) I don't really have anything to write about. I thought about telling the story of getting our Christmas tree Saturday. But as it is my sister, and mother have already written about it. So... I didn't figure ya'll needed to hear a 3rd story. The only thing ya'll need to know was that is was cold. Very, very cold.
Today... was just... today. I dragged my self out of bed this morning. And went to...where? can you guess?? Work. It was... boring. Yes, I said BORING. It was cold. I got there... and... no boss. Whew. I catch up a horse. And start walking out of the barn. Joe (Terry's.... right hand man I guess you could say) stopped by me and turned off his 4-wheeler. Oh no. That usually means he has orders from headquarters. Which could mean I'm in trouble, are Terry wants to come out and ride with me. Oh please NO! what he said was.... "When you get done. Put the horses in the East pasture." YESSSSSS. Not a word about my boss. I go on my way. Doing what I do. Waving at unfriendly people on the highway. Oh and you know what? I have vehicle's memorized. Yep. Ones that go by every time I'm over there. Here is a smallish list:
A white, single cab Chevy with a trailer... and something on the back. It looks like a thing they spray weeds with. But I'm not sure if that is actually what it is are not.
A maroon dodge with a long livestock trailer
A truck with a livestock trailer. Sometimes empty, sometimes full of... bovines.
A little maroon... uhhh... not sure what it is. Its a older looking pickup though.
A white 4 door Ford.
A white Chevy
And then Terry's two sons, Joe, and Aaron usually go by. Sometimes her husband Donald too.
Hmmm I think that's it... Oh! and let's not forget the dude I always meet while I'm DRIVING to work. A dude in a white Cherokee jeep. Yep. I meet him in almost the exact same spot too. See aren't I a very observant person?
Anyways. Enough about the people I see. I kept expecting Terry to come out to the barn. But she never showed. YEAH. Nothing really exciting even happened with the horses. CJ spooked at a couple of things. And I called him a dummy. But that was basically it. After I finish my exercising the beasts I get to come home. And.... well... nothing exciting happened here either. I did get a laugh from Taylor though.
Taylor: (hanging upside down in the chair. Talking to my mom) "This tree doesn't grow pine cones. Its kind of ironic that you have pine cones on it. Its kind of like your degrading the tree. Its probably yelling at you right now in its tree language."
Hahaha. It made me laugh. My mom said some stuff too. But I don't remember what is was. I have a weird brother.... two weird brothers....
But that's really been it. I'm sorry if I bored you with this post. I probably shouldn't have even bothered with posting.... Course ya'll also didn't have to sit here and read this. Ya'll could have just... not read it. Now ya'll have wasted... well I don't know a few minutes of ya'lls lives. I'm saying ya'll a lot huh?
Well now I must bid you all a farewell. Don't cry! I shall return in the near future with more intellectual talk, and wisdom.
GOING TO MEXICO IN 3 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
