So, Arizona. We headed out Saturday afternoon, and arrived at the reservation about midnight.
Before we left!

Sunday we went to church, and spent the rest of the day checking out the place, and getting ready for VBS.
We did a lot of playing, and running around.
Where we slept.
For the work, we did demolition, painting, and a few other random things around the church. I sadly missed out on the demolition. I spent all my time painting. So much painting. I dreamed about paint. The demolition was in the bathroom, they knocked out the showers in the men and woman bathroom, and put in new ones, even added one one.
We gladly painting over that orange color.
We had a really good week! It was a lot of work, and we were all pretty exhausted. We wouldn't get into bed until about 12, then get up at 6, work and the chase little kids around all afternoon, then work some more. I was pretty happy to come home and get a hot shower, we had our nifty little outdoor showers we used at week, that got a little nippy!
That was just kind of the trip in a nutshell. Life and everything else has been kind of crazy! There has been other happenings that I will make mention of on a later date. Right now I think I better go take care of some hungry animals.

neato. my brothers went to Arizona on a mission trip to the reservation, too. was it just ya'll or was there other churches too? because I had some friends from Fellowship Bible Church in Waco, Texas go to do a VBS in Arizona. That would be neat if it was the same one.
Rafting is sooo much fun. ha! at least ya'll just had to wear the booties we had to wear the full bodysuits.
oops, rather long winded
Ah, how cool!! Sounds like an awesome trip, thanks for posting :)
OH MY! This is too crazy!
Two years ago we went to Gallup, NM to a children's home where my friend was working. It's run by the Holdeman mennonite (old order) church.....when kids are taken out of their homes by the police/social services they usually come here...there is another home right on the res a little deeper in AZ. These pictures reminded me so much of our time there. God bless you for following his work...and showing His love to these precious kiddos.
Thanks for sharing!
The country there is so cool. I think I want to move to Arizona.
Sounds like soooo much fun--and I'm sure you are plumb worn out, haha. :) Enjoyed the pictures immensely, and glad to hear you were able to do so much (and be blessed so much!)
I awarded you on my blog, check out my last post to see it! :)
