He is everything....truly EVERYTHING.

Out of the many things I learned this summer, the main thing was how Jesus is truly everything, all we need in our lives. I learned that through the Lord placing me in Vajta Hungary, knowing not a soul, and not really making any friends. I got so frustrated, cause I just wanted to make friends. But as time went by, I realized that through me not really having any good friends, I was having to become completely dependent on Him, and when I did. When I started to spend more and more time with Him, I realized, oh wow, Jesus is truly satisfying my every need. I really only need Him. After time though though, He did allow me to make some great friends.

My point is, its so easy to go through life thinking we need other things, boyfriends/girlfriends, money, fancy houses, cars, tons of friends, whatever. When really, all we need is Him. Cause if you think about it, those things are passing. They may give pleasure, but its only passing pleasure. Jesus Christ gives lasting pleasure, eternal pleasure! Now, I'm not saying having a boyfriend/girlfriend is bad, if its of the Lord, and if that isn't all you keep your focus on. But if you go through life thinking that your just have to have a boyfriend/girlfriend, if thats the thing that will truly satisfy you... well, your horribly wrong. Cause Jesus is the only thing that satisfies! Same thing goes for money, or whatever, you fill in the blank. We can go through life, thinking we have to be rich, have all this money cause then we'll have "everything" Uh huh... sure. The Bible actually says its easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. Matthew 19:24. And not only is He everything, He's continually faithful. Man is not. But He is. Life can be such a roller coaster, but He is always faithful to us, even whenever we aren't faithful to Him. He stands by our side through it all, through the good, and the bad.

He's the faithful One.
The only One who satisfies.

Therefor know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps His covenants and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.
Deuteronomy 7:9

Ephraim has encircled Me with lies, And the house of Israel with deceit;
But Judah still walks with God, even with the Holy One who is faithful.
Hosea 11:12

....Great is Your faithfulness........
Lamentations 3: end of verse 23.

Think of Psalms 139 also. It says in verse 1 "You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up: You understand my though from afar off."
He knows everything single thing about you!
and verse 17... "How precious are Your thoughts toward me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand: When I awake, I am still with You."

How great is that! We had a Lord, a Savior that satisfies our every need, is continually faithful, understands everything about us, and has thoughts toward us that are more in number than the sand!

Remember these things always my friends. He is EVERYTHING. Continually FAITHFUL

its not 8-8-08 anymore

I wanted to write a post on 8-8-08. I don't know why, but I just love it every year whenever the date is 3 numbers in a row, like last year there was 7-7-07 and the year before that 6-6-06 and... yeah, you get the idea. Its just a fun date :P

Can't you already tell this is going to be a completely random post?

So I've only been home a week. It has been a long week for some reason. I can't hardly believe that is was just a week ago that I was still in Europe.... my poor little brain cannot wrap around it.

I think I've almost got back into the groove of things. I did a lot this week, event wise. Tuesday night I went with Taylor to the 4H rodeo, where I acquired the name "traitor" and "un-american" since my brother decided to spread ugly lies about me, all in fun of course :P He had to tell two of his buddies I cam back anti-american, so another guy heard, who told another guy, and it just got around. Why they don't find someone else to pick on, I will never know.

Anyway.

Wednesday I got to go to Church and see more people :]

Thursday... I got into work. Find out my boss cuts my days, and also my pay... she only wants me to work Thursday, and possibly every other Wednesday I find out. Then later on into the morning I find out she may only want me every other Wednesday! Well I think... shoot, that just really isn't going to work. So, I have acquired one of these

A application... its so.. intimidating. I have never filled one out before. So it will be a new experience... I guess. I am applying at the Farm store, the same place my sister used to work at, at one time. Funny thing is, when I was in Europe, I was talking to my sister, and she told me I should get a new job, I told her I didn't know where I'd get one at, so she told me I could work at the Farm store, like she did. Well, I tell her I don't think I'll be following in her footsteps job wise (even though her first job was the place I am currently working) and well, here I am. If I get this job, I would have worked at two places she's worked. Crazy stuff. I don't know if I will even get the job, if it's the Lord's will I guess I will :]

So that I was. I went to a dance that night... had a pretty decent time. Went to see a movie with Jessica yesterday, we saw the 2nd Sisterhood of the traveling pants. It was... um, not all that great, least I didn't think so. It just made me really, REALLY want to go to Greece. Maybe one of these days :]

Umm... and today... was... uneventful :] I've enjoyed the wonderfullness of twizzlers

How could you not enjoy these wonderful... twizzly things!?

and then I took this picture
