18 hours.

The big day is tomorrow! It seems like it came up on me so fast, where did August go?

I had my last day at work Thursday. I was so blessed to have such a good job for so long. I started working there when I was 16! I was honestly really sad to leave, it'll probably be one of the best jobs I'll ever have. I learned about the difference between male and female plumbing parts, that there is a grade 8, 5, and 2 bolt, 8 being the strongest, that if you give a man too many choices they will stand there 20 minutes trying to decide which one to buy... ;] haha. I was really shy when I started working there, everyone likes to tell me how beat red I became whenever I had to go help customers...it was probably true! I didn't mind doing anything, but having to helping customers was my worst fear! I eventually got out of it though, and I could talk to just about everyone after that.

Friday I made a trip down to West Texas to visit my brother and his bride.
The drive really isn't bad, doesn't seem like it takes to long...but it is pretty ugly! My brothers country is real pretty, but after that is just uglier and uglier.
I kind of like to think of it as the armpit of Texas/New Mexico

It feels good crossing that state line!

And I really love that speed limit sign

It was a very nice weekend! We drove around Saturday morning, I got to see a little more of the country my brother takes care of.
Dinosaur footprint!

That afternoon we went swimming in one of the stock tanks with some of the guys he works with.

This is T&J's puppy Spur! He is quite the cutie, poor fella the guys threw him in the water.

That evening was a ranch party. I had a lot of fun, it was just a easy going fun weekend.
Sunday I made the treck back home.
I'm not much of a fan of that speed limit sign...

Yesterday I became dark headed.....

Let me give you my hair story....
About this time last year I got talked into getting highlights in my hair, so I got blond ones. Those started growing out and looking bad, and I didn't want to have them done again, so I thought I'd just have my hair colored back my original color....so I went to the hair twister, and she assured me it would be my original color, well it ended up being lighter and redder than my natural color. That started growing out and looking bad....so I got the bright idea to have my mom color it, and do it a little darker than my natural color, so then when it started growing out it at least wouldn't look as bad whenever it started growing out. So (I feel like I'm saying so a lot?) this is the hair I got. I turned out quite a bit darker than what it was supposed to be. I've actually secretly wanted to go a bit darker, but have never been brave enough. I'm not one of those girls that can do tons of things with their hair...I give those girls props, because I am not one of them at all. I've done more with my hair in the past year than I have done with it in my whole lifetime.

Well there you have it, the hair story.

I am now packed! Finally! I have packed, un-packed and re-packed about five times. I think I finally have it completed though now. Have I mentioned how I hate packing? I don't mind it so much for just a regular trip, but this a different ball game. I come back in December, so I have to pack warm stuff too. It is done though, and I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

I better go see to what I'm forgetting.
