Feliz Navidad..Merry CHRISTmas!

So maybe I'm a little late, being as though Christmas is almost over.

But anyways, hope ya'll had a great Christmas! :] cause I for one did, and I love Christmas, it just needs to be celebrated for the right reasons, and not for the reason the world celebrates it. This is the day our Savior came into the world and it should be celebrated! :] ....and not only that, its my birthday so everybody should celebrate it.

teehee.

I'm just kidding.

Seriously

I promise, cross my heart. Besides turning 17 isn't all that exciting anyway ;-]

So anyway I will leave you with that, set your eyes on CHRIST the true and real reason for the season.

well I hope ya'll are all doing well! I myself am sitting here eating a rootbeer float and listening to the howling wind outside -sigh- me and my friend were discussing how it just doesn't feel like Christmas around here, its hot outside, and the sky is filled with dirt. Not nice lovely white snow, no just DIRT. Not even cool I tell ya, I put on Christmas music earlier, trying to make it feel like Christmas, and it just didn't work. It's down right depressing I tell ya! Oh well, I will stop whining and complaining now, nobody wants to listen to a whiner or complainer.

So anyway.

I went yesterday and got nearly all my shopping down, after battling all the crazzed shoppers. Yikes! It was probably one of the dumbest things I've ever done, trying to shop on a Saturday a week and a half before Christmas. Just not smart at all, but I got 'er done. Or mostly done, I still have a little bit to do...but it can wait. I also went and saw what has to been one of the dumbest movies of all time. "The Day the Earth Stood Still." just don't go see it, seriously. If there is anyone out there who saw it, and liked it...well then I apoligize but I thought it was one of the dumbest movies EVER. It was basically a sci fi movie about this alien that comes to earth to wipe out all the humans so they can save the earth from us. Yea.. I got to hear about it too from Skyler, Sterling and my brother. Yea, just don't go see it, unless you like scifi movies and are a..well.....tree hugger.

Wellllll.....anyway. I just ran out of things to say. So sad I know.

So, peace out.

Gotta just love the fall =] there is just something 'bout it. The way the air feels, the leaves...everything! Today was an extra fallish feeling day, them are the best.

I have had quite the lazy day today too. My mom and dad went off to the mountains yesterday and are coming back some time today, so that just left me and the lil brotha here at home... crazy kid. We watched a couple of movies last night, then I made him go to bed and I stayed up watching Home Improvement and Family Matters, gotta love Steve Urkel! this morning I woke up to the sounds of Nathan building a fire. I made some breakfast {{eggs and sausage burritos}} and have pretty muchly been a big fat bum ever since. I did go out and get the horses for my daddy, then cooked me and the kid some dinner...and straightened the house some. But that is it. Dadgum me and my bummish self =P

Ok, so a random thing. Yesterday I went into town after work to buy Nathan's birthday present and on the way home I stopped at taco bell for something to eat and after I pull out and go to get a drink of my coke and I can't get hardly anything to come up the dadburned straw! I have to sit there and suck, and suck and suck. This exact same thing has happened to me the past three times I've gone there... its pretty much not cool at all. It must be a conspiracy against me or something...or maybe they give faulty straws to people they don't like. Its not like I've ever done anything to them though! I try to be nice, and what thanks do I get?? a faulty straw! its just messed up I tell you, messed up.

ok I will end this completely random and pointless post now. peace out.

Loved by a Cowboy

don't know who wrote this...but I love it =]

LOVED BY A COWBOY

If you've ever been loved by a cowboy,
You'll know what I say is true;
They know how to love a woman,
And you thank your stars that it's you.

It's not in the fancy talkin'
Or tryin' like heck to impress.

It's in the deep, honest carin'
That makes these men of the west.

They learn from the world around them,
That life is precious to hold.

See how they carry the lost calf,
Until it's back home in the fold?

They know the hand of our Maker
In the work that they do everyday.

They protect the herd from danger,
And keep them from gettin' away.

They see the glory of sunrise,
Work hard to make things right.

When they tuck back into the bunkhouse
It's usually the dark of the night.

In their powerful hands there is healin'.

Rough and scarred, you can see,
But when they gently touch you
You know what tender can be.

For the hands that punch the cattle,
And break a horse just right,
Can brand a calf in the daytime
And deliver a foal in the night.

They stroke and comfort the skiddish
They guide and lead the lame,
They work to heal the wounded
And treat the sickly humane.

There may be some maverick cowboys
That can't keep their word to be true,
But there aren't very many bad ones
Believe me their numbers are few.

Most stretch the truth in their "tall tales"
And fib to put on a good show,
But you'll rarely catch one lyin'
It's a matter of honor, you know.

When you put all these things together
You see it's a gift, plain as day.

God gave us these fine, good men
To keep us from runnin' astray.

To be held in the heart of a cowboy,
To hear him call you "m'am"
To snuggle in his big, strong arms
And be his "darlin' lamb"

Can make you more a woman
Than you could ever guess,
For when you're loved by a cowboy,
Well..........girl
You're loved by the very best
