for the first day of the year....

My Utmost For His Highest. "....my earnest expectation and hope in nothing I shall be ashamed...." We will all feel very much ashamed if we do not yield to Jesus the areas of our lives He has asked us to yield to Him. It's as if Pail were saying "My determined purpose is to be my utmost for His highest-my best fir His glory." To reach the level of determination is a matter of will, not of debate or of reasoning. It is absolute and irrevocable surrender of the will at that point. And undue amount of thought and consideration for ourselves is what keeps us from making that decision, although we cover it up with the pretense that it is others we are considering. When we think seriously about what it will cost others if we obey the call of Jesus, we tell God He doesn't know what our obedience will mean. Keep to the point-He does know. Shut out every thought and keep yourself before God in this one thing only-my utmost for His highest. I am determined to be absolutely and entirely for Him and Him alone.
My Unstoppable Determiantion For His Holiness.
"Whether it means life or death-it makes no difference!" (see Phillipians 1:21) Paul was determined that nothing would stop him from doing exactly what God wanted. But before we choose to follow God's will, a crisis must develop in our lives. This happens because we tend to be inresponsive to God's gentler nudges. He brings us to the place where He asks us to be our upmost for Him and we begin to debate. He then providentially produces a crisis where we have to decide-for or against. That moment becomes a great crossroad in our lives. If a crisis has come to you on any front, surrender your will to Jesus absolutely and irrevocably.

My Utmost For His Highest

Today we stand at the threshold of the unknown. Before us lies a new year, and we are going forward to take possession of it. Who knows what we will find? What new experiances or changes will come our way? What new needs will arise? In spite of the uncertainty before us, we have a cheerful and comforting message from our heavenly Father: "The Lord your God cares for [it];the eyes of the Lord....are continually on it from the beginning of the year to the end." The Lord is to be our Source of supply. In HIm are springs, fountains, and streams that will never be cut off our run dry. To those who are anxious comes the gracious promise of our heavenly Father:If He is the Source of our merices, mercy will never fail us. No heat or drought can dry the "river whose streams makes glad the city of God"(Ps. 46:4) Yet the labd we are to posses is a land of valleys and hills. It is not all flat or downhill. If life were always smoot and level, the boring sameness would weigh us down. We need the valleys and the hills. The hills collect the rain for hundreds of fruitful valleys. And so it is with us! It is the difficulty encountered on the hills that drives us to the throne of grace and brings the showers of blessings. Yes, it is the hills, the cold and seemingly barren hills of life that we question and complain about, that bring down the showers. How many people have pershished in the wilderness valley, buried under its gold sand, who would have thrived in the hills? And how many would have been killed by the cold, destroyed or swept desolate in their fruitfullness by the wind, if not the for the hills-stern, hard, rugged and so steep to climb? God's hills are a gracious protections for HIs people against their foes! We cannot see what loss, sorrow and trials are accomplishing. We need only to trust. The Father comes near to take our hand and lead us on our way today. It will be a good and blessed New Year!

But yea, hoping I get to meet some new people, make new friends, do new things. Ya know all that stuff =] Mostly though, I just want to continue to draw closer to my sweet Jesus =] Cause He is the one person that will be with me throughout this whole year! How great is that, no matter what happens this year...with the new man in office and all our great and mighty Savior is there with us through it all, no matter how hard it may get.

Feliz Navidad..Merry CHRISTmas!

So maybe I'm a little late, being as though Christmas is almost over.

But anyways, hope ya'll had a great Christmas! :] cause I for one did, and I love Christmas, it just needs to be celebrated for the right reasons, and not for the reason the world celebrates it. This is the day our Savior came into the world and it should be celebrated! :] ....and not only that, its my birthday so everybody should celebrate it.

teehee.

I'm just kidding.

Seriously

I promise, cross my heart. Besides turning 17 isn't all that exciting anyway ;-]

So anyway I will leave you with that, set your eyes on CHRIST the true and real reason for the season.

well I hope ya'll are all doing well! I myself am sitting here eating a rootbeer float and listening to the howling wind outside -sigh- me and my friend were discussing how it just doesn't feel like Christmas around here, its hot outside, and the sky is filled with dirt. Not nice lovely white snow, no just DIRT. Not even cool I tell ya, I put on Christmas music earlier, trying to make it feel like Christmas, and it just didn't work. It's down right depressing I tell ya! Oh well, I will stop whining and complaining now, nobody wants to listen to a whiner or complainer.

So anyway.

I went yesterday and got nearly all my shopping down, after battling all the crazzed shoppers. Yikes! It was probably one of the dumbest things I've ever done, trying to shop on a Saturday a week and a half before Christmas. Just not smart at all, but I got 'er done. Or mostly done, I still have a little bit to do...but it can wait. I also went and saw what has to been one of the dumbest movies of all time. "The Day the Earth Stood Still." just don't go see it, seriously. If there is anyone out there who saw it, and liked it...well then I apoligize but I thought it was one of the dumbest movies EVER. It was basically a sci fi movie about this alien that comes to earth to wipe out all the humans so they can save the earth from us. Yea.. I got to hear about it too from Skyler, Sterling and my brother. Yea, just don't go see it, unless you like scifi movies and are a..well.....tree hugger.

Wellllll.....anyway. I just ran out of things to say. So sad I know.

So, peace out.
