Boy, what a time I had getting here. Since my flight was canceled Thursday I had to contact the college to let them know I wouldn't be arriving until Sunday, unfortunately since that was orientation day and whatnot they wouldn't be able to come pick me up. But they did get me set up with a shuttle service that would take me right to the college. I was a little nervous about that, there wasn't much else I could do. So I got a reservation set up. I left early Saturday morning. I arrived in Houston, then had a four hour layover. I am honestly so thankful for that layover. Houston airport is officially my least favorite place in the WORLD. It took me forever to get to my terminal, then to my gate. Also, in Lubbock they only gave me the one boarding pass, then gave me two little tickets that I was supposed to take the the Lufanthsa check in at Houston, since I would be continuing my flight through them. I waltzed up to the check in counter, only to watch them have confused looks on their faces and tell me I wasn't booked for that flight. But they got my fixed right up, I had to go to a different counter, and get booked. The lady that helped me was disgusted, and was pretty angry at Continental for messing it all up in the first place.
Since I had to get re booked that meant my flight was going to be a little different then what it was first supposed to be. It put me in Frankfurt an hour early, and then I had about a two hour layover there. In Frankfurt I had to contact the shuttle service and tell them my flight would be arriving later, praying there would be another spot open for me. There was, but it was going to be two hours after I arrived in Budapest. So I arrived in Budapest, sat around and waited. Found my driver, we waited on some more passengers, then off to Vajta I came.
It has been a little overwhelming catching up on everything. But everyone has been so amazing at helping me out. I got registered for my classes, internet set up, stuff unpacked, my residence permit stuff filled out, and just meeting people.
I am going to have 6 classes.
Romans, Nehemiah (unless I decide on Revelation...still deciding on that..) Apologetics, MTP Missions Class, Evangelism & Discipleship, a Lecture class, which I need to find out about..because it isn't on our schedule... Then Language study...have no idea what language I'll be studying! I can't decide on that one either.
I will also have my service, which will be working in the dining room. I do that about 5 times a week. I'll get to be a lunch lady! Only minus the hairnet.
I am so excited/nervous! It is fun being back here, even though I do miss home.
I went on a walk with some of the girls earlier, and it was just so nice!
I do have some homework ((first time in my life I've ever had homework!)) So I'd best get to it.
Have a blessed day!
