I got to have a little fun yesterday =] Taylor went in the rope with the Pierce's, and I tagged a long. We got to town about two, did a few things, then met up with the boys about three or so. We put the steers in the alley, put the horn wraps on and.. waited, waited for three other guys to show up, Mike, Kyle, and Will. They got there, and finally the action began. They only roped out of the box a few times, then practiced team tying, since Skyler, Sterling, Mike, Taylor, our cousin Caleb, and maybe one other guy are going to be in the 4th of July Ranch Rodeo up in Capitan. I'd let the steer out, and then one would rope the head, the other the heels, then they'd all jump off their horses, get the steer down, and tie him (like in calf roping) Mike is the official tier since he's a calf roper, Sterling would usually do the heading (unless he missed then somebody else would go in) and the others did whatever. It was definitely a lot of fun to watch, and they did pretty good! I got to run the chute the whole afternoon. Which is ok, I was really wishing they'd have given me a hotshot though, the dang beasts didn't want to go up in the chute, well most of them would, but there were a couple that would just plain refuse. I'd have to holler at one of the boys to come put their ropes on 'em and drag them in there, that worked pretty well :)

Yeah, it was entertaining. I got picked on quite a bit during the afternoon, mainly just by one of 'em. But I guess that is what happens when you're the only girl, I usually just pickup right back though, or just tell them to shut up, not meanly though of course, that would just be rude. Got to watch one of the fellas get bucked off (Will) His horse had never been out of the box, so when he went out, and went to swinging his rope the horse just went to bucking, he rode him for awhile, but then lost it. Didn't get hurt though, that just wouldn't have been cool. Mike rode a few steers... haha, that was funny. I laughed a lot during the whole deal. I really wanted to take my camera and take pictures, but I was informed last time I went that I was not aloud to take pictures, humph. How rude, should have just done it anyway. But, I wouldn't have really had a good chance to take pictures I don't guess.

Well anyway, after a few more hours of roping, and some more laughs, the boys put up their horses, Taylor, Skyler, and Sterling went to put their horses in some of the pens over by where they rope, (since we had cowboy church to go too) went over and talked to Mike for a minute, then we loaded up in Skyler's pickup, and went off to Cowboy Church. After church (Which was VERY good by the way, Cottonpickers husband, Ross did the preaching) We went over to Mike's place to shoot some pool. That was fun, I didn't play any, just watched, and petted the dogs =] The fellas were fun to watch though, goofy boys. There were three other fellas there too, they are crazy. We left there at about... 11:30ish I think, Skyler took us back to the pickup, we captured ole dunny, and sat around talking for a little bit, then told them adios and came home. Sterling told me, since I probably won't see them again before I leave for Europe, not to go chasing to many wild men, and Skyler added "Yeah, hairy, smelly men." haha, then Skyler informed me that if I came back smelly, and with arm pit hair that he wouldn't talk to me again. I assured him that wouldn't be a problem ;) What crazy guys, they are sure fun though. Never ever a dull or boring minute around them, thats for sure.

Today we got ready for Taylor's graduation party tomorrow, cleaning up and such. I dropped a steak sauce bottle on the floor this morning while cleaning, it proceeded to crack at the bottom a little, and steak sauce went EVERYWHERE, at first I thought it just got on the floor and bottom cabinet, but then I got to looking around and it had gotton all over the top cabinets, and everywhere else, how... I do not know. Stupid plastic bottle... hum. Anyway, I should go now. Ya'll have a good'n!

16 more days!!!!!

That is how many days I have until my departure. Exciting huh!?! but also kind of scary. I can't believe how fast it's come up. The closer it has gotten the more nervous I have gotten, and I've found myself... fretting... and then I read the last part of Psalms 37:8

Do not fret-it only cause harm

Ok... DO NOT FRET, it ONLY cause HARM. Golly. So instead of fretting, trust. Trust in Him. The first part of Psalms 37:3 puts it pretty clearly, Trust in the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. I have to trust Him while I am on that plane flying over the Atlantic ocean, trust Him while I am there, trust whenever I get homesick, whenever satan attacks, whenever I get scared, trust Him while flying back by myself, trust He'll get me through the airport, and on the plane ok, and get home fine. I need to not fret, worry, doubt, anything of the sort. Just trust.

I know as the time draws nearer I'm going to have to be trusting even more. I think it'll be ok when the day comes. It's just these days anticipating it that can be tough. But asides from being nervous, I'm really excited. I have not packed anything at all, but shoot what am I going to pack, I need all my clothes, haha. But I do think I have almost everything I need, just need to get stuff like soap, shampoo, and pick up a few notebooks, then I think I'll pretty much be set.

It's kind of funny, every time I see anyone anymore there all like, "How many more days until your trip??" or "Are you getting excited?" or, "Have you got all your stuff together?" Haha, it's great.

Well, since I just realized it's actually later then what my computer says, it's a hour off and I just realized it! I'd better get off to bed, I have to go to the orthodontist tomorrow and have my last checkup before I leave.

Ya'll have a good'n
